Episode 47 – The New Earth – Is Humanity in a Shift of Consciousness?

When Amina first came to Pål-Esben, she smiled, had done her hair and make-up, and did not bring up her problems in the first conversations: she had come to learn shamanism. But what radiated from her, he says, looked like a grey, jagged hedgehog. Once she had received help, he told her that last time she had looked like a hedgehog, and that she now looked much better.

In this forty-seventh episode, Amina and her teacher and guide, Pål-Esben Wanvig, take up a listener question about The New Earth: is humanity in a shift of consciousness? They explore why so many people take the bait of easy answers, why there is no such thing as a collective leap, and why your music only changes when you become what you are seeking. It is part of “The Journey to Self-Realization”, a podcast about the bravest journey a human being can set out on: the journey home to yourself.

This episode is an English translation of our Norwegian original, voiced by the digital avatars of Pål-Esben and Amina.

In this episode

  • The idea of The New Earth, from 3D to 5D and ascension symptoms, and discussing the concepts rather than the people who believe in them
  • The hero’s journey, fairy tales and marketing, and why adults take the bait just as children do
  • Why there is no such thing as a collective leap, only individual leaps, and why Eckhart Tolle never talks about frequencies
  • The prince on the white horse, Amina’s journey from problematic partners to a partner she can grow with, and the real secret behind “The Secret”
  • The grey hedgehog, the tuning forks and the principle of resonance, and the dissonance no one can hide
  • Mass suggestion, social media algorithms and democracy under pressure, and a 90-day detox from the news and social media
  • Ragnarok, the Maya calendar and astrology as a tool for growth rather than prediction, and whether the future can be seen
  • Why the soul has packed everything you need into your prism, the trap of “I’m just like that”, and why the runes are something else entirely

A warm welcome to the podcast “The Journey to Self-Realization”, a primordial shamanic journey of development back to your true nature. This podcast is a collaboration with our favourite magazine, the health and lifestyle magazine Medium, and is devoted to exploring the bravest journey a human being can set out on: the journey home to oneself. We follow Amina, a student at the Yggdrasil Shamanic School, as she goes through a deep primordial shamanic process of development together with her guide and teacher Pål-Esben. It is a raw, unpolished journey of discovery towards true joy in life, deeper meaning, and a life that truly feels good to live.

This episode is an English translation of our Norwegian original, voiced by the digital avatars of Pål-Esben and Amina.

Pål-Esben: Hi, Amina, and a warm welcome to a new episode.

Amina: Hi, Pål-Esben. Thank you, and likewise.

Pål-Esben: Thank you. And a warm welcome to you, dear listener. Today we have a new topic from our listeners. Amina, what are we going to discuss today?

Amina: The New Earth. Are we in a shift of consciousness? It’s a very hot topic at the moment, and something a lot of people are wondering about.

Pål-Esben: Can you tell us a bit about what this is? I’m uninitiated, not very much into the esoteric, and I live in my own world. Tell us briefly, so that everyone has an idea of what this is.

From 3D to 5D: what the idea of The New Earth says

Amina: The way I’ve understood it, because I’m not fully initiated into it either, it’s the idea that the earth is changing. We’re in a shift of consciousness in which we’re going to move from what’s called 3D to 5D. In other words, we’re going to move from separate consciousness to more of a consciousness of oneness, from fear, power and control to more love, oneness and cooperation. We’re in a great process of transformation, and many people say that more light is now coming in on the earth. Many also describe what are called ascension symptoms.

Pål-Esben: What are they?

Amina: Yes, ascension symptoms. Now I’m going to tell you what they are, Pål-Esben, as well as I can.

Pål-Esben: That’s very kind of you.

Amina: I haven’t quite understood it myself, but it’s about being recalibrated in some way or other, or receiving new light codes that upgrade the body. Then you can get various symptoms, quite similar to what you find with healing reactions. It’s about an upgrade for those who are on that path.

Pål-Esben: Is it just for them, or is it something that happens by itself?

Amina: Good question. It applies at least to those who begin to ask questions: What’s really happening in the world right now? Is there perhaps something more between heaven and earth? Am I really a human being? Am I perhaps something more? Perhaps I’m from the Pleiades? That kind of vibe.

I can understand that it’s easy to buy the theory, too, when you see so much happening in the world. The alternative scene has really taken off in recent years. More people have woken up to the idea that there’s something more. So if you don’t know much about this, it’s very easy to give in to the temptation and think: Yes, of course that’s how it is.

At the same time, we see things in the world coming up and into the light of day. Many people describe it like this: The reason all this is happening now is that the more light comes in on the earth, the more of what lies in the darkness is lifted up and lit up. I’m not saying that everyone thinks like this, but these are things I’ve heard. So it needs to come up first, before it becomes The New Earth, which is heaven on earth.

Pål-Esben: That sounds very nice.

Amina: Paradise on earth.

We discuss the concepts, not the people who believe

Pål-Esben: That sounds really lovely. If only it were like that, life would be very simple. But reality shows something else. I’d like to explain how I see this. As always in our podcast: we don’t claim to have the only answer, or to be right about everything. We’re here to discuss thoughts, ideas and concepts that are out there, and to give our input on them. In my case, that input is based on experience, not on theory I’ve read in a book, because there’s a difference.

It’s the same as when we discuss religion: then we’re discussing the institutions. But we have nothing negative to say about Christians who believe in Jesus, for example. You have a faith, and you have something you turn to, and no one can criticise that. People must be free to turn to whatever they want, without others saying they’re wrong. What we do is discuss the concepts behind religion: the institutions, the dogmas and how they affect humanity. We’re doing the same now.

So if someone thinks that this is how it is, that’s OK. It’s an opinion, and there’s nothing wrong with having it. If it does something good in your life and leads you to live a joyful, fulfilled and complete life, that’s good. We’re so pragmatic that we say: If you’re doing something that really works for you, that creates a better life for you, better relationships with your partner and kids, less anxiety, more happiness and joy, then we say go for it.

Why do so many people take the bait?

Pål-Esben: But the challenge with these ideas in the esoteric world is that things are now supposed to happen by themselves, as long as your vibration is high enough, as long as you have enough love. Preferably without doing anything. Why does humanity get triggered by this? Why do so many people take the bait? That’s the first thing that’s interesting to discuss.

All of us who have lived a life, and have had a challenge in our relationship, for example, know that it doesn’t help to sit there thinking that now my DNA is going to get an upgrade, now more light is coming into me, and everything will be fine. If we try that, no relationship gets any better. There are practical things we need to change in ourselves, in communication and respect, and it’s hard work that has to be done for things to get better. Every human being who has lived a life knows that.

But why do so many people get triggered by these stories, which look very much like myths and fairy tales? Well, because we humans are genetically conditioned to live out, believe in and engage with these myths. Completely genetically conditioned.

The hero’s journey: the pattern that steers us

Pål-Esben: If you want to study how humanity relates to stories and myths, there’s a good book by Joseph Campbell called “The Hero with a Thousand Faces”. He immersed himself in old cultures and indigenous cultures and really studied how storytelling affects humanity, and why humanity has depended on these stories. Before written language came along, all information and knowledge was passed on from generation to generation.

What they’ve found is that these patterns still hum away in our core, in our subconscious, in our archetypes. The most famous pattern in storytelling, the one people are steered by on autopilot when they hear it, is the hero’s journey. It’s an archetypal story that triggers and affects the subconscious in a human being, so that they’re put into a specific emotional state.

An example: in all the gigantic blockbusters, like “The Lord of the Rings” and “Star Wars”, the whole story is based on the hero’s journey. What is the hero’s journey? It’s an archetypal story: the hero, let’s say Amina, has a big challenge in life. Everything is rotten, there’s fear, there are setbacks, there are health problems. The hero has a serious problem. The first step is that the hero sets out on a journey and becomes a seeker. The next step is that the hero finds a guide. Because without a guide, how is the hero supposed to find their way? Who was Frodo’s guide, for example?

Amina: Huh?

Pål-Esben: Who was it?

Amina: Gandalf.

Pål-Esben: Gandalf. Exactly. The same goes for Luke Skywalker, who is the hero of “Star Wars”. There you have Yoda and other figures. If you study these blockbuster films and bestselling books, which millions upon millions of people love, you’ll always come across these core stories.

In the hero’s journey it goes like this: the hero has a problem. “Houston, we have a problem.” The hero sets out on a quest to find the solution to the problem. The hero finds their guide. The guide leads the hero through this journey, which is made up of adversity, lows and highs, to a point where the hero almost gives up. But something deep inside the hero makes them wake up, and then they take the last steps of the marathon and come back with the solutions and their freedom.

Marketing, fairy tales and the grown-up child

Pål-Esben: Many years ago I became very fascinated by this. Back then, 30 years ago, I ran my own company, and any good marketing expert knows that he has to use this story, which hums away in humanity’s subconscious. If you trigger it in your marketing, you’ll of course sell much more than if you don’t. If you study marketing today without understanding these basic mechanisms in the human psyche, you’re just taking a scattergun approach.

This is known in modern society, at least by many people. That’s how our brain and our subconscious work, because over thousands of years we’ve been shaped by these stories. They were there so that we would remember, and so that we would have access to the information and the knowledge. Insanely exciting.

Then you ask yourself: Why are fairy tales so popular? If you have children, you know that when you sit down and read a suitable fairy tale to a child, they’re completely spellbound from the start. And then we think adults are different. No, adults are exactly the same. We’re often searching for these underlying patterns. Take the hero’s journey: we have a problem. We search for solutions. Then we find a fairy tale out there, and we think: Wow! I have a problem, but I hear someone saying that more light is now coming in to this planet. And soon, if you just stay in the light, the new earth will arise for you, and you’ll live in paradise.

It’s like a child getting triggered by a fairy tale, and we adults are just the same. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s part of the mechanism in the unconscious, connected to the basic archetypes that hum away in there, and that you, as a tarot expert, analyse through your tarot cards.

The easy way and the chosen one

Pål-Esben: When I meet people, I very rarely meet anyone who’s looking for a solution that asks a lot of them. Most are looking for a solution that asks very little of them, and if they can take a path that asks nothing, that’s usually the one they choose. And there are so many paths out there, whatever you want to become, that claim: Come to me, just be with me, and everything in your life will sort itself out. Of course your DNA will be upgraded. You can just do this method, and you’ll get a download from the Pleiades at night, or whatever it is, and everything will be upgraded. You’ll live the dream life, since you’re one of the chosen ones.

There’s nothing wrong with a human being who believes this. They’re simply running on autopilot from the subconscious. They believe it’s like that because they want it to be like that. But I’m pragmatic: if we do something, it should give objective, measurable results in our life. Why should we do things without our life changing? Then it becomes more like: Why should I do it? Should I lull myself into some cloud of light and hope everything will be fine? Like the ostrich that buries its head in the sand and says: I hope the storm passes soon.

My experience from working with thousands of people is that it never works. The only thing that works, in my eyes, is people taking self-responsibility. They take self-responsibility for doing the work that’s necessary.

But believing these fairy tales, or wishing that it were like that, is natural for humanity. It’s in our DNA. So: if someone has that belief system, there’s nothing wrong with that person. It doesn’t make them stupid, if you follow me. They’re just a victim of a pattern that gets triggered by this story, so that they think: Oh, now I believe everything will be fine. And there’s something good in that too. Because I think it’s better to have an optimistic view of life than a pessimistic one. If this contributes to an optimistic view of life and the future, that’s good in itself. The problem is that nothing changes if we don’t take responsibility. That’s the core of this. What do you think about that, Amina?

Amina: Yes, that makes sense. Much more goes on in our subconscious than we’re aware of ourselves, all these things that steer us and pull us in different directions. And when everyone says it’s like that, it becomes even easier to think: Yes, of course that’s how it is. Especially if you’re new to the alternative world. It’s an ocean out there, everything is new and everything is a bit strange: power animals, beings of light, the vibration of the heart and all the rest. How are you supposed to navigate? Everyone says this is happening, and that gives it extra weight.

There’s no such thing as a collective leap

Pål-Esben: And of course that’s a challenge, because it all snowballs. They parrot each other, especially on YouTube and Instagram, so you hear the same story from a hundred different people who copy each other. It has been like that since the dawn of time. And that’s the problem: when the masses begin to spread the same message, you get problems working out what’s reality and what’s fiction and fantasy.

But let’s be pragmatic. In the esoteric world there’s often talk of a collective leap.

Amina: Yes.

Pål-Esben: So we’re now standing on the edge of a collective leap where the earth suddenly becomes a paradise, at least for those who are chosen, who are loving enough and have a high enough vibration, whatever that may mean. It doesn’t fit my experience, either of life or of all the people I’ve met. There’s no such thing as a collective leap. Collective leaps have never happened in human history in this way.

If we take the last 100,000 years, humanity’s process of development has gone very, very slowly. Think how long it took when people began with agriculture and grain 10,000 years ago, and when industrialisation came. Everything changed gradually, and it took many years to make these small changes in human history. To believe that something is suddenly going to happen now, that a mysterious energy from the universe radiates into me and a collective leap happens for everyone: in my experience, that’s a fairy tale.

Because when I work with people, I know that lulling yourself into some dream or other doesn’t change your life in the slightest. But beginning to take self-responsibility for your own life, taking responsibility for your free will, healing your anxiety, separating yourself more and more from the ego, the construct and the autopilots we’ve discussed, so that you become more and more what you are behind the masks: that works. We use a metaphor for it: you become more light. It takes work, for example healing your anxiety. The anxiety leads to the darkness in you. It’s pretty much the only thing that leads to darkness in a human being: anxiety, fear.

In the first episodes of the podcast we went through how much fear and anxiety you had when you started. So how might things have gone if I’d said to you, full of anxiety as you were: No, Amina, all you need to do is lie there doing these methods to download knowledge and information from the universe. Then this will be fine, because you’re the chosen one for the new earth. What do you think your life would have been like today, three years later?

Amina: I’d most likely have been doing the same old stuff, and even worse. It wouldn’t have worked.

Thirteen strands of DNA and the same old crap

Pål-Esben: Anyone who looks at it logically can see that. And for you, dear listener, who have been through our whole podcast and really followed the journey Amina has been on: you’ve seen that it hasn’t always been easy. There are certain things she had to be willing to do to be able to live the life she has today.

My claim is this: imagine that I tell you that you’re the chosen one for the new earth, and that here’s the method for sitting up at night receiving downloads. This is how you download more light into yourself, upgrade your DNA to the 13 strands that are your real DNA, and become the complete version of yourself. Then I guarantee that your life today would be far more miserable than it was three years ago. Because you’d have had the same problems, but you’d have been dramatically more frustrated that the same old crap was still there. You’d have worked and worked, and downloaded and downloaded and downloaded, but nothing would have got any better.

It’s easy to find proof of that. The only way I can see for this world to become a better place to live is for each one of us to take responsibility and deal with and heal our anxiety, our compulsion to control and our jealousy, so that our heart is set free. That’s hard work. But many people aren’t willing to do that work. They’re searching for a fairy tale that will fix it for them.

Eckhart Tolle, frequencies and what really sets you free

Pål-Esben: If you go back to one of the best-known spiritual teachers in the world, Eckhart Tolle, and to his book “A New Earth”, from 2005 I think, you’ll hear someone who really did this. He never talks about frequencies or downloads. He says: Human being, you need to deal with your ego, your anxiety, your fear and your compulsion to control. That’s the only thing that will set you free.

But it’s only in the last 20 years that you constantly hear people using the word frequency. We have to adjust our frequency. But what does it mean to adjust your frequency? Does it mean tuning a radio, meditating in a special way, or receiving the energy from the sun and the new light? What does it mean?

I think every human being who is open to it can work out for themselves what’s real and what’s fiction. Because you can try this New Earth thing and live with that philosophy for a few years, and see what happens in your life. And then you can try a few years with the philosophy we offer: Heal the darkness in you. Put the ego in its place as an adviser instead of a ruler. Understand what your construct is. Gradually understand that it isn’t you thinking your thoughts, it’s your construct.

Through the work of healing the darkness in you, you activate more light in you, and then you’re closer to your heart in daily life. That’s something that will really change every aspect of your life. It will change how you experience your daily life, how you interact with it, how you talk to people, and how you talk to yourself. It will make all the difference to a human being’s life.

In my eyes, that’s the only way this world can become a better place to live. Not through some fantasy of a collective leap in consciousness, but through each human being taking self-responsibility and becoming more of this light. That’s one of the mantras we have in our podcast. That’s how you create a better life for yourself, and that’s how you affect the people around you in a much more positive way. Instead of spreading fear, blaming others for your problems and trying to control others, the way our autopilot has been trained to, it suddenly becomes the opposite. That will have a massive effect on your kids, your partner and your friends. That’s how I see it, Amina.

Amina: Yes, I agree a hundred percent. It starts with ourselves, and not with the light that’s out there. Not the prince who comes and rescues us on the white horse. Not the one who comes in and fixes everything. Yes, you can get yourself a guide, mentors and teachers, but actually no one is coming to rescue us. We have to rescue ourselves. It’s time we realised that, because it’s the only way we can become free.

The prince on the white horse

Pål-Esben: That’s my experience too. But you put it so well here, this longing that lies in the human being: we have a life that we feel is limited for some reason or other, and then there’s a longing in us that wants things to be better. That longing is often linked to the autopilots in our genetics, to these stories and myths. So people search for the prince on the white horse who can come and rescue them from their lousy life.

How many single people do you think I’ve met who have come to me to prepare themselves to find a suitable partner? It actually takes work. Especially if you’ve attracted problematic partners time after time after time, and the same lousy things happen with every partner, I say: Well, that’s where the problem lies. The problem lies in what you radiate, what you think, what you feel. So first we need to work a bit on you, so that you heal the reasons why you attract partners who treat you badly. That’s where we started with you too, wasn’t it? You were flypaper for these rather problematic men.

Amina: Yes, I was absolutely sure my life would be completely perfect once I found the perfect man. He was the one who was going to rescue me. If I found the right one, everything would be fine. But I never found the right one. I wasn’t right myself either, so how could I expect to find the right one? By right, I mean right for who I was then: what I attracted with my wounds, my traumas and my imprints, and not least what I said yes to, and whether I had got to know and listened to my inner voice and my intuition.

But I think it has been an important journey of wisdom too, because I’ve seen that as I’ve developed, I’ve gradually attracted different kinds of men. First came the violent, manipulative and destructive men. Then I got into the spiritual world, and then it became a bit like this: “Everything is love. I love you, and I love the neighbour, and you are the same, because you are the one, everything is one, we all are one.” And then I thought: OK, he’s very sweet and kind, but that’s no good for someone who wants to build a foundation with somebody. So it made me even more insecure. Here, too, there was a bit of static on the radio frequency, so I had to work on that a bit. In the end I managed to attract a partner I could grow together with in a healthy and lovely way. Because it isn’t about finding the perfect one or being the perfect one, but about finding someone you can develop together with, who is going in the same direction.

Pål-Esben: Exactly. Someone you can cultivate yourself alongside, who shares your vision for life, so that through an inner process you also grow, both individually and together. That’s one of the most rewarding settings for a relationship.

You remember the day when you yourself, metaphorically speaking, were looking for the prince on the white horse who could come and rescue you. Many people have come to me over the years for couples therapy or for help finding a suitable partner. You have no idea how often I’ve come across this idea, in both men and women, of finding the perfect one who would come riding in on their horse, the princess or the prince, and fix the crap they had in their life. And there was nothing wrong with the people who had that belief system. That’s important to see. They’re just victims of this imprinted pattern that lies in our epigenetics as stories.

They had a longing for things to get better, and the only way they knew, because they had probably tried lots of things, was to find a person who could come and rescue them. If your finances were bad, someone with good finances was going to come and rescue you. If you felt alone, someone was simply going to come along. That’s natural for human beings. But anyone with a bit of life experience knows that it doesn’t happen. For you to be able to find a suitable partner, you first have to become what it takes to find your suitable partner. And that’s the problem with this collective leap in consciousness too.

The world splitting in two, and the music in you

Pål-Esben: Some people also talk about the world splitting in two now. It’s about parallel existences, and it’s a popular topic. I’ve heard it from several people: “Pål-Esben, there are so many people out there talking about the world splitting in two now. I want to go along the one path, where we get paradise, because the other path is heading straight to hell.” The shift is supposed to be based on what tendencies you have, and on how you shift between parallel existences, including parallel earths. That’s perhaps a topic we’ll take up at a later date, because then it starts to get spectacular.

The challenge here is that people think they can simply wish themselves into the parallel version of the earth that is paradise, just by living in love or being at a high frequency, but that won’t take you into the parallel tendency. It’s the same as when you think about forgiveness: it has a special music in it, a special tendency. I’ve read about forgiveness, I think about forgiveness. But it’s a completely different music when you become forgiveness, when you do forgiveness. That’s often the core of the esoteric: people have read, heard and wished.

But the only way to shift your tendencies, whether we’re talking about a split reality or about a better life, is to become what you want to be. That you become forgiveness, that you become grateful, that you become respect, that you become compassionate, that you become a pleasant human being. Only then does the music, or the frequency spectrum, in a human being change, so that you create new tendencies. That also determines whether you create dharmic or karmic synchronicity in your life. Everything depends on the tendencies you lay the groundwork for through what you are and live out. Not through what you want to become, what you’ve read, or what someone has said about everything being fine as long as you live in love, but through what you actually become. Only then do you change your music and your tendencies. And if we’re talking about a split earth, it’s only through what you become that you create the tendencies that move in the direction of a different existence. That requires a high degree of self-responsibility.

“The Secret” and the real principle of attraction

Pål-Esben: When you become something, when, for example, you become gratitude, become forgiveness, become a pleasant human being, become a respectful human being, become self-responsibility, you can see it as your music being tuned and becoming more coherent with exactly that tendency. And what happens then? Well, then what happens is what’s wrongly described in “The Secret”, where you wish for things from the universe. It’s the same fairy tale. Millions upon millions of books have been sold. People believe in it, go on courses and take the bait completely: there’s a special technique, which of course you learn at a special seminar for a chosen few, who pay enough for it. If you wish for something from the universe with this technique, the universe gives you your Porsche, or whatever it was you were after. Same fairy tale, same bait.

Because the only way you can attract what you need, the way the world really works, is by becoming what you want to be. The day you become love, gratitude, honesty, forgiveness, the 9 Pillars for Finding the Path of the Heart that we talk about in our tradition, the music changes. And when the music in you changes, which it only does when you become something, not through thinking or wishing, that’s when the real shift begins to happen.

Imagine a musical instrument that has been given a different harmony, a different tone. It begins to resonate with other kinds of instruments, with other music that can harmonise with your music. That means that things are laid at your feet through dharmic synchronicity, which we’ve discussed in detail in an earlier episode: things that are constructive and can help you further along your path. Suddenly you find a suitable teacher, suddenly you find a suitable therapist, suddenly a more suitable friend comes into your life, suddenly a suitable job comes along. Not because you’ve thought it and wished for it, but because you’ve actually become something that has changed your music, so that you can resonate with a different kind of music than you have so far in life, where you’ve come across karmic synchronicity, rubbish, problems and resistance.

The grey hedgehog

Pål-Esben: It’s so exciting to sit down and reflect on this. Because the day a human being really understands this is the start of a life that takes off like a rocket. That’s where you started. The music you radiated when you came to me, based on the vibrations in your thought system, your emotional system, your anxiety and your turmoil, looked like a grey hedgehog. You smiled and were a very pleasant human being, but what radiated from you was in dissonance with your physical appearance.

When I observe this, it’s paradoxical. You have a human being with a nice appearance, who has done their hair, put on make-up and has a lovely smile, and then something completely different radiates from them. Chaos radiates from them. And the chaos that radiates, which you can picture in the aura as a jagged hedgehog, will attract other jagged hedgehogs. Because like goes with like, as old Thoth said. That was the reason you attracted partners who were problematic, violent and created chaos, where you ended up in trouble again and again.

But it wasn’t your fault that you looked like a hedgehog in the aura, and that was important to say. You had been trained this way, you had been traumatised in childhood, and you had been through the imprinting of your construct. You were a victim of your own story in this life. At the same time, it’s important that we acknowledge that, in the end, we are largely responsible for what we’ve become.

But there comes a point in a human being’s life where you have the opportunity to take the responsibility that’s necessary. The first step is to identify this grey, prickly hedgehog aura, the energy system and the music around you. You can perhaps hide it from those who aren’t so sensitive, and you were probably an expert at that. Few people probably noticed what was really going on inside you. But there are certain things you can’t hide with your music, because your music is your music, whatever you believe or think.

The tuning forks and the principle of resonance

Pål-Esben: Take two tuning forks as a good example. Your tuning fork had a particular frequency, and it could only resonate with other tuning forks at the same frequency, or in overtones and undertones. If you have a tuning fork at, say, 432 hertz and another at 432 hertz, and you strike one, the other will begin to vibrate. We’ve all seen that at primary school. But if you have a tuning fork at 800 hertz and one at 432, and you strike the one at 432, no sound comes from the one at 800 hertz. In other words, no resonance arises between them.

We find this principle of resonance everywhere in nature, and it describes part of reality. When we develop and walk the path to a more authentic place, where we become more of the 9 Pillars for Finding the Path of the Heart, the music changes. Then you can resonate with completely different things: dharmic synchronicity instead of the karmic synchronicity that arises on autopilot when we’re the grey hedgehog. So if you go back to how you started: do you recognise yourself in the pictures that have just been painted?

Amina: Yes, yes, absolutely. What are you thinking of?

Pål-Esben: First of all the hedgehog, when you came in here. It was chaos. You managed to hide it from most of the people around you, since most people are numb to what goes on around the physical personality.

Amina: Yes, that’s exactly how it was, and that’s how I experienced it too. And I didn’t let anyone close enough to see it and know it either. But every now and then you meet people who can sense the mood or see the radiance, like you. I remember one of the conversations we had. I got help from you, and when I came back for the next conversation, you said: “I don’t usually say this, but last time you looked like a hedgehog. Amina, now you look much better.” I thought that was so lovely, because it also taught me that the truth about us radiates out all the time.

Since my teenage years I’d learned that I could actually change my appearance to feel better, so that it would look as if I were something I didn’t really feel I was. If I’m wearing a dress, I feel good. If I’m wearing make-up, I feel good, and then everyone can see that I look nice, and then everyone can see that I’m fine too. I’ve become more and more aware of that. I’ve always had what you might call a talent: I haven’t seen the aura system, but I’ve had a feeling that something doesn’t add up. I see one thing, but I feel something else.

That has applied especially in romantic relationships over the years, but also in other kinds of relationships: I hear what you’re saying, I see what you’re trying to show me, but something doesn’t add up. I’ve often found it hard to call people out on it, and I’ve learned more and more how to handle it. Perhaps you shouldn’t say everything you see and feel. But the truth radiates from us, and people pick it up, whether or not they can see the aura system. It’s there regardless.

The dissonance no one can hide

Pål-Esben: Here I think there’s something most people have experienced: you’ve sat with someone who has said something to you, and you’ve felt a dissonance, a false note, between their body language and their words and what’s going on behind them. That’s the example of what we’re talking about now. You can try to pretend as much as you like, but the music humming away in you is something you can’t hide. You can change your appearance, you can put on masks, you can learn to talk nicely. But if the human being sitting opposite you is just a little balanced, a little open and not completely numb, they’ll often pick up this dissonance.

Amina: As you say, the dissonance is a false note. You notice that something isn’t authentic. I’ve been wondering about something, and it’s perhaps a question for the topic. One thing I’ve noticed concerns some of these people who talk about The New Earth and about love, who wear white clothes and feathers in their hair and look very soft and gentle. They say: Now we’re in a new world and a new frequency, and love is everything. And I notice that I’m not buying what they’re saying. Something smells fishy. But then I see that several other people are drawn to it: Oh my goodness, did you hear what she or he said? It really speaks to me. So perhaps the question here is this: Are you drawn to something that actually has a dissonance in it, because you have that dissonance yourself? Do you understand my question?

Suggestion, algorithms and mass suggestion

Pål-Esben: Yes, absolutely. You can only attract what is connected to your music, or you can do something else with your free will. But we need to make a bit of a distinction here, because there’s something called suggestion and mass suggestion, which are psychological concepts, where people are automatically manipulated. The more people say the same thing, the more easily a human being is swayed into believing it. It’s part of our biases, which run on autopilot. So the fact that you’re manipulated, or mass-suggested, if that’s the right word, doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with your music. Anyone can be pulled into an undertow if the suggestion is broad enough and powerful enough.

An example: you’re on Instagram and come across a video talking about this topic, the New Earth and all the chosen ones, and the video says: Since you’re watching this right now, you’re the chosen one.

Amina: Yes, that’s a nice one.

Pål-Esben: Planting a suggestion in a human being is one of the easiest manipulative tricks there is. Then you go to the next video, which comes through Instagram’s algorithms, because the algorithm sees that here’s a human being who likes this. Same thing, New Earth, and you hear number two and think: Wow! And perhaps another woman or man says: You’re watching me now, so that means you’re actually one of the chosen. Then I think: What a way to manipulate people!

Amina: Nasty!

Pål-Esben: And then Meta’s algorithms say: Here’s a person who likes this, so you get the next one, and the next, and the next. Gradually you’re only served this stuff in your feed, and you’re practically mass-suggested into believing something through an algorithm that has fed you misinformation from day one.

Amina: Yes.

Democracy and the same prince

Pål-Esben: We see this in our society today, for example in political elections. The way I see it, democracy is under pressure, both in Europe and in the USA, because so much of how opinions are formed is steered through Instagram, Facebook, social media and the news. People are mass-suggested and manipulated in particular directions.

In the USA we see it clearly: large groups of voters get the same information again and again, through social media and the news, until they reach the point where they believe fake news is real news. Then you have to ask yourself: If the one with the most money, who is skilled enough at manipulating through social media, is the one who wins the election and gets to lead the country, hasn’t democracy in practice been put out of action? We’re seeing the same thing now in Europe, here in Germany too, where I live.

When you look at how that’s possible, you see that many people, for example in the former East Germany, are struggling with an economy and infrastructure that still lag behind from the old days. They’re very open to someone coming to rescue them. So they look for the prince on the horse who can come and rescue them from the crap. We see the same thing in many voters in the USA: life is so rotten for them that they trust a king or a prince to rescue them. And then social media is used massively to reinforce it, until a lie becomes a truth. It’s a frightening development to watch.

The hedgehog that disappeared

Pål-Esben: Back to what we’re talking about. When you came to me, I experienced a strong dissonance between your appearance and the way you talked, and what was going on around you. It was like this: OK, here we have a human being in complete dissonance, but a human being who has begun the hero’s journey. She had taken the second important step in the hero’s journey, after beginning the search: finding herself a suitable guide. Can you imagine what Frodo would have been without Gandalf? He definitely wouldn’t have made it to the end with his ring. The same thing happens in every hero’s journey. The hero is the hero, but without a suitable guide it’s very hard to reach the light we’re talking about.

And then you were willing to look at these things. I didn’t start the first conversation by saying: Oh, Amina, I can see an insane dissonance between what you say, the way you look and what you really are. You’d probably have freaked out. Because people are afraid of those who are direct and honest with them. So we started gently, with you telling me about your things, and went on step by step. Once you’d got used to me, and knew that I speak from my heart and really want to help you through the reference experiences we have together, I began to be more direct about these things.

Gradually the hedgehog went away completely. Today you’re very authentic in how you look physically, how you talk and what radiates around you. There’s no hedgehog in you any more. No greyness, no darkness, no stress. Only when you’ve had a bad day can certain parts of it get a bit chaotic. But you find your way back again. From my point of view it mostly looks completely different today. I’m sure you’re experiencing that to the full as well.

Amina: Yes, a hundred percent. I don’t feel those spines any more, metaphorically speaking. As you say, if it’s a bad day, it isn’t chaos. It isn’t: Where am I going to go, where am I going to move, everything is turning dark. I feel more and more that everything happens for a reason, and that you find solutions. But when I came to you, I don’t think I actually presented any problems in the first conversations, because I’d come to learn shamanism, after all.

Pål-Esben: And that’s perfectly fine.

Amina: Yes, yes.

Pål-Esben: I don’t start that conversation unless you bring it up yourself and see that you need a bit of help. Otherwise I say: OK, then we’ll learn methods and techniques. Did you notice the point where you began to ask?

Amina: Yes, yes. We got to that point. I was in tears then, and that’s when the hedgehog came out of its shell. It didn’t have a shell, but at least it came out then and was honest. Because things get stirred up on a path like this, if you walk it.

Pål-Esben: If you want to.

Amina: If you walk that path wholeheartedly and authentically, in a genuine way, it’s impossible for it not to happen. Things get stirred up, you let go of the traumas and the imprints, and things are brought into the light and have to be worked on.

Individual leaps, not collective ones

Pål-Esben: It’s to do with becoming less numb over time. You become more and more sensitive, and then you also notice more and become aware of the dissonance in yourself. You notice friction. Then you begin to ask questions about this friction: What can I do to take this friction away? That’s when you ask your guide the first really valuable question.

Until then, as a guide, I accept that people come to me to learn methods, techniques, a little about shamanism, forest bathing and that kind of thing. Because no one has to do anything at all in our tradition. You’re free to be exactly what you want to be, and no one looks down on you if you don’t want to go through a process like the one Amina has gone through. Some want to learn a bit more about nature, others want to go all the way to full liberation, meet their Sahara and wake up once and for all. It’s each human being’s choice.

But the point is that there’s no such thing as a collective leap. Only individual leaps can be made, and when enough individual leaps are made, it can gradually become more and more collective. But it doesn’t start with a collective leap, after which the individual leaps happen. First I have to change my music and make my leap. Through that, I resonate with different things than before: I find more suitable friends, a more suitable job, the things that belong to the new tendency.

That’s what lies behind “The Secret”, which “The Secret” doesn’t understand: there’s no technique, method or ritual you can do to attract what you need, what you’re searching for. It only happens through choosing to become what you’re searching for, so that your music changes, and through that you can come into harmony and resonance with what you’re searching for. That’s the real secret.

But described like this, it’s very unpopular. It means we have to do some work. And our brain is genetically conditioned to be lazy and save energy. It has nothing to do with the people, it has to do with their brain. The brain is made to avoid danger, seek pleasure and save as much energy as possible. So of course it’s natural for people to look for the easy way, but then no music changes. You can send wishes to the universe until you’re blue in the face, and the Porsche still won’t come.

Amina: Yes, I just got a download. Here’s a book called “The Real Secret”.

Pål-Esben: Wow! In other words, “The Secret Behind the Secret”.

Amina: Yes, “The Secret Behind the Secret”.

Pål-Esben: Yes, yes, yes.

Amina: No, it was just a slightly funny picture that popped into my head. We have “The Secret”, and then we have “The Real Secret” and “The Secret Behind the Secret”.

All real teachers say the same thing

Pål-Esben: That was very exciting. If you study any real spiritual teacher, they’ll all say the same thing. Eckhart Tolle says the same thing, and the world’s best-known guru, Sadhguru, says exactly the same thing. Because there’s no other way to describe reality than as what reality is.

And of course, if you want to sell books and courses, this is brilliant: Come to me, I’ll just show you a super-method. You don’t need to change anything in yourself, and then you’ll get what you want from the universe. Monkey stuff. I find that sad. But the fact that people take this bait lies in our nature. It lies in our longing, and in the stories we’ve told for hundreds of thousands of years, where we search for the prince.

If we want to create the new earth you’re talking about, paradise on earth, it starts with each one of us. With us becoming more light, and through that spreading more light to those around us. And by light I mean something very practical: that you become grateful and loving, that you become a heart-led human being in practice, not in theory. Then it happens.

Amina: Yes. I’ve worked a lot on the things I want to become, too. OK, I want to work on my perfectionism, or I want to work on gratitude, or honesty. Now, I haven’t been the biggest liar, at least not consciously, but when I’ve worked on the different things, I’ve asked: OK, what does it look like? What does the daily life of an honest person look like? What do I do when I get up? What do I do when that thought comes in? How do I act in that situation? What is honesty here? You can ask yourself the same question about becoming more light. As you say, what does it look like in practice? What does a person do who wants to have, or has, more light in them? How do they live out their daily life? These practical steps are important.

A few thousand who take responsibility

Pål-Esben: You’re absolutely right. I think every human being who sits down in silence for an hour or two, or a day or two, and thinks this through on the basis of their own experience, will see something. Think through how our brain works, how stories work in us, how easy it is to manipulate people with beautiful, simple solutions, and how people are manipulated by their feeds and by Meta’s algorithms, which give you the same information again and again. If you take a couple of steps back and try to see how the mechanisms work, I think you’ll see that, in practical terms, life doesn’t get any better from it.

But when, for example, you set about becoming a master of forgiveness and gratitude, you’ll see: Wow, what happens when I become more of this? My music changes. The way I deal with myself and the life around me changes. Then you see reality, if you want to create that paradise for yourself and the people around you.

And how is the world doing as it is now? No more light is coming into the world. No upgrade is coming. The world is as the world is, and it goes through its cycles, as we talked about in detail in episodes 44 and 45. And Maha Terra, our planet, will carry on with or without us. We’re just a small drop in the ocean of existence, completely unimportant. If we as a collective humanity choose to destroy this planet, well, then that’s how it will be.

But I’m an optimist on behalf of humanity, because I’m an optimist about what individuals can do when they take responsibility for their life and affect the people around them. You don’t need millions upon millions of people taking this responsibility. You need a few thousand who are willing to take it. Because they in turn affect perhaps 50 people around them, because they’ve become something else. And when more people begin to talk about what reality is, fewer are manipulated by the mass suggestion you find in social media, among other places. Then more people get the chance to make choices based on reality, on what it takes to create a better life, instead of being caught by a mass suggestion that says the new world is coming now and everything will be fine.

That’s how I see it, Amina, and that’s my experience from taking you and many of your fellow students through the process of development. From an eagle’s perspective these are clear mechanisms. If you go a little way into it, down among the trees, it’s fascinating, and if you go even further into it: Wow, how frightening. I choose to see it from the fascinating side, and I try as best I can to inspire people to take a step out of this and check in with themselves: What is it I need? That’s a question each person has to ask themselves.

When you get there, you have a better chance of finding a suitable guide, a teacher, a Gandalf or a Yoda. Instead of an inauthentic guide who claims that AI is the next great spirit, and that you can channel your guides and angels through AI. That’s sad stuff. Because it confuses people and brings them into karmic synchronicity instead of dharmic synchronicity. But after all, what a human being chooses is up to their own free will. And as I say to you and your fellow students: What you choose is up to you, as long as you accept the consequences of your choices. Don’t blame others because the consequence is a black eye and a broken leg. If you take full responsibility yourself, it’s OK whatever you choose. Because I believe we can learn from everything, can’t we, Amina?

Amina: Yes, absolutely. Then you come to a point where you think: Oh, should I perhaps move on to the next learning theme? You get sick and tired of your own crap. Then you can have aha moments, just: That’s enough now. I’m done with these learning themes.

The good news: 90 days without the news feed

Pål-Esben: And the good news is that life can actually be joyful to live, even though we live in a somewhat chaotic world today. You can live a joyful, complete life, full of meaning, whatever is going on around you.

Of course, if you sit watching the news hour after hour every day, and all the crap on Facebook, you get depressed. Because you’re being fed anxiety all the time. So everything starts with a 90-day detox: put social media, the news and radio broadcasts on pause, and see what happens in your life. What I’ve experienced over the last 20 years is that everyone who is willing to do it experiences a revolution in their life. The whole system becomes more balanced, you get more energy, you’re more present, you feel more joy. It’s like a miracle happening to a human being who is willing to take this step.

If you’re listening to us for the first time, this is what I’d recommend as the first step. Through that alone, you’ll experience what we’re talking about now. It’s heaven on earth. It’s the first step towards heaven on earth: creating heaven within yourself.

Amina: Yes.

Pål-Esben: Is there anything else we should bring up, or have we come to the end of the road?

The Maya calendar, Ragnarok and the proof people find

Amina: Some people may be asking themselves this question, and this isn’t what I know most about: the Maya calendar, human design, astrological transits, the Age of Aquarius, Pluto being in Aquarius, collective planets changing signs. You find this proof in several places, and you can gather information from several places to support the idea that something really is happening. Can you say a few words about that?

Pål-Esben: Yes, this has been there since the beginning of humanity, because it’s described in all mythology. There’s no mythology in the world that doesn’t describe this new world. Everyone who went to primary school in Norway knows Ragnarok from Norse mythology. It begins with Balder, the god of light, dying, and the world losing its light. Then comes the Fimbulwinter, three years of nothing but darkness, in which everything dies. Then there’s chaos: the wolves swallow the sun and the moon, Loki is set free, and Odin and most of the gods are killed. The world comes to an end, and finally Surt comes and burns the whole planet, everything becomes fire, and the earth sinks into the sea. Then the beautiful, green, blossoming earth rises up out of the sea again. Balder returns and brings the light in, everything is beautiful, two human beings are left, and everything starts again.

This is mythology, mythology, mythology. Pretty much everything to do with astrology is built on mythology. In Maya mythology you find 2012, when the world was supposed to end and the new world was to arise. You find the same thing among the Hopi and in the Vedic tradition. These are the same mythological stories that modern New Age builds on, with its particular interpretations. Then every association is used as proof of the interpretation.

Amina: Yes, of course. We find what we’re looking for.

Pål-Esben: We find what we’re looking for. Back to your music, which is a result of what you think, feel and search for, and of your belief systems: your music attracts like. Like attracts like. If you search for something, you’ll find it. If you search for proof that something is the way it’s described, you’ll find thousands of pieces of proof. An example everyone knows: if you’re going to buy a new car and have decided it’s going to be red, you’ll see nothing but red cars around you. Everywhere you’ll see red cars.

Amina: Yes, yes.

Pål-Esben: Same mechanism.

Astrology as a tool for growth, not a blueprint

Pål-Esben: I’m not saying astrology is just nonsense. Whether you use astrology, draw a card or do something else: as long as it helps a human being create a better life, I say go for it. What it’s called doesn’t matter.

But the challenge with astrology is that people look for an astrologer to tell them about their life and their future, and there are very few astrologers I know who say: Human being, I can give you the thread running through it, but you have to take self-responsibility for creating this life. This is the impulse you find in the birth chart, the impulse that, according to astrology, your soul brings with it into this life. But an impulse is one thing. You as a human being have to take responsibility for cultivating it. I know a few who say that, and you’re one of them. You’re an astrologer and can surely say a bit about this.

Amina: Yes, absolutely. I’ve had several people come to me who had a reading 20, even 30, years ago: Yes, that astrologer said I have such-and-such a pattern, and that I’m going to suffer from it for the next 20 years. And he was right. What do they call it?

Pål-Esben: A self-fulfilling prophecy.

Amina: Thank you, thanks so much. A self-fulfilling prophecy.

One of the things that has engaged me most in astrology is that there are always solutions. They’re learning themes. Nothing is good or bad, it’s just information. How can we work with the information as well as possible and understand your personality? And not just your personality, but the soul’s wish in giving you this birth chart. What are your learning themes? How have you dealt with them until now? Where are you still stuck? Because we develop all our lives. Sometimes we’re really stuck in certain places.

But in recent years I’ve heard quite a bit about people who have been to an astrologer who says: You have no earth in your chart, so you can’t ground yourself. Or: You have difficulty making contact with nature. Then we need to talk a bit about that too. Because it’s rather dangerous to get that kind of information, since it becomes a reality, and it settles so deeply into a human being’s belief system that it becomes very hard to turn around. They’re themes for development, and that’s what’s important.

Saturn isn’t your problem

Pål-Esben: Again, I’m pragmatic. I learned astrology 20 years ago and began to teach it. Gradually I understood that the world is about completely different mechanisms. So more than 15 years ago I gave it up, because there are other things that describe reality in a much more exact way.

But there’s nothing wrong with astrology as long as it’s used as a tool to help a human being create a better life, see their possibilities and take self-responsibility. Instead of what’s often done: Oh, now you have Saturn there, and now things are going to go really badly, and I understand why it’s so hard for you. Hello? Saturn is connected to a change. As a human being, that’s the change you need to make. So now you need to take self-responsibility for making that change. Saturn has nothing to do with it. It isn’t Saturn that’s causing your problem, human being. No, no, no.

As long as you use it as a metaphorical map to inspire a human being to take this responsibility, I say great, in the same way that you use tarot cards. With tarot cards you read the fundamental archetypes in the human being, how they relate to each other, which ones are developed, and which ones are active in this theme. But you know, as a tarot expert, that you aren’t reading reality. You’re reading how the archetypes in the person’s unconscious are active. And through that you can give advice: OK, this is your theme. What can we do to make this better?

Amina: Yes, absolutely. And that’s where many people misunderstand, also because many go to a tarot reader to have their fortune told. Then I say: OK, I can do a reading for you, but we need to talk a bit about it first, because that’s not how I work. You always have free will to choose. If something comes up, we look at the psyche, we look at the dynamics, we look at the archetypes here. There was something I wanted to say, but it’s gone.

Pål-Esben: I’m sure it’ll come back.

Amina: Maybe.

Can you see the future? Autopilot and free will

Pål-Esben: The question people ask is: Is it possible to see the future? You can say both yes and no. For most people: absolutely yes. When I have a human being in front of me, I can say fairly exactly what will happen to that human being over the next 20 years. Why? Well, because most people have next to zero free will available. They run 100 percent on their imprints, on their patterns. They believe they have free will. They believe, for example, that their favourite colour is purple, but that has nothing to do with free will. It has to do with how they were imprinted in childhood. That’s basic psychology.

So most people run completely on autopilot. We can see where the autopilot has taken this human being over the last 20 years. If nothing is done about the autopilot, the next 20 years will look very similar. So for most people it’s very easy to see the future. But as you say: every human being has the opportunity to make the choice and break this, by actively using their free will, making a change and becoming something new. Then the direction changes. The more free will a human being has available in their life, the harder it is to see their future. Because they can make a new choice at any moment, based on what happens. Then all you see is the crossroads on the timeline ahead, but you can never say exactly which choice this human being will make at the crossroads. That’s one of the courses in our senior shaman training: there you learn about precognition, how it works, its limitations and its possibilities. But for most people you can say exactly where they’ll be in ten years.

Amina: Yes.

Pål-Esben: It’s scary, and perhaps uncomfortable to hear. But the good news, which is one of our core principles, is that at any moment we can gain access to a greater part of our free will. That means switching off our autopilots, the compensatory mechanisms and the patterns of dependency that steer us. At any moment we can decide to switch them off, by starting a process of healing and development, so that we gain access to more and more of our free will.

For someone who is psychic, for example, it’s impossible to see my timeline, because it isn’t fixed. At every moment I choose where I go next. I know where I’m going, but it isn’t possible to see it. Because when a human being has that much free will available, you never know where and when they’ll make choices, or which direction they’ll go in. But for someone on 100 percent autopilot: super easy.

Amina: Yes, I noticed that too quite early in my career as a tarot reader and counsellor: there were some people who just kept doing the same thing. It’s a feeling you get, and you could say it’s a mixture of tarot and intuition.

Pål-Esben: It’s always a combination for a good tarot reader.

Amina: Yes. There it’s also easy to say: OK, if you get back together with him, it really will go to hell. It will. But as you say, I’ve also noticed the people with a completely different radiance: those who are in an active process of development, who are open to learning from their mistakes, to developing, to not making the same mistake again, and to being able to recognise the patterns in themselves. Those are two completely different things.

The soul has packed everything into your prism

Pål-Esben: That’s how all these tools can be of value, whether it’s tarot cards, astrology, human design, the I Ching, angel cards or power animal cards. They can be used as a framework for a process of development, so that a human being creates a better life. There’s value in them as long as they’re used as tools for growth and not as tools for prediction, where you say: No, you don’t have this, and that’s why you have that problem in your life. That’s a problem.

Because all of us human beings are complete. We all have the complete Sahara within us. We’re all perfect beings at the foundation. We can all create the complete life for ourselves, the way the soul wants it when we come here to live. There’s no limitation and no lack in a human being that stops them from living out the soul’s vision fully and completely. The soul has made sure that everything that’s necessary lies in your prism, as we discussed in an earlier episode about the soul’s journey and the elite university for souls.

The soul, the higher self, packs everything that’s necessary into the prism: talents, insight and a fundamental memory, which we can call karma and dharma. A foundation that gives you tools to solve all the challenges that lie in the soul’s corridor. The crystallisation points, such as problems, traumas or illness, are often set by the soul itself, if not always. So you have the perfect toolbox with you from the start.

The soul isn’t stupid, after all. It doesn’t put you out here, in this straitjacket compared with the soul’s free state, because it’s a sadist who wants to torment you. It puts you, as a part of itself, in this frame because it wants to learn, grow and experience something very special. And it doesn’t put you out here without the resources you need to do that. That would be stupid. It puts them in your prism, which the soul’s light shines through, so that you experience what happens on the screen. That’s the metaphor.

So you have every quality and talent available. The only thing you need to do is understand them and cultivate them up to the surface, so that they become actively available. Because it doesn’t happen by itself. So if you hear someone say, dear listener: No, you don’t have that, and you can’t do that, and you have no earth, so that’s why you can’t ground yourself, and crazy things like that. Then you should take it with a good pinch of salt and say: Yes, it’s fine that you have a view of me, dear so-and-so, but I’m not buying it. Because I understand that my soul has the full spectrum there in reserve. I understand that I can’t see it myself right now, but I have an idea that there’s something there, so I just need to find a suitable way to bring it up to the surface.

I see it in all the thousands of people I’ve worked with. I’ve never met a human being who doesn’t have what’s necessary to create the life they dream of living. But I’ve come across people who aren’t willing to do the work that’s necessary to cultivate it up to the surface. You, on the other hand, are one of those we’ve taken through this podcast.

New boxes: “I’m just like that”

Amina: Yes, I’m very glad and grateful for that. But you say something very important there, about how astrology, human design and these tools can become a way of putting yourself in new boxes. I’m just like that. Someone might come to me and say: Yes, but you see, my moon is in Aquarius, and my sun is in Aries. And then I think: OK, that doesn’t really tell me anything. Perhaps one percent. It can also easily become an excuse for not making changes. Because I’m just like that. After all, I have Pluto in opposition to my sun, so yes, I slam the doors a bit. That’s just how I am.

So there’s a limitation in it. I’ve also seen that on the primordial shamanic path to oneness and spiritual enlightenment, together with you and my fellow students: these systems can limit us, and they can stop us from coming all the way home. So everything in moderation.

Pål-Esben: And you say that as someone who has learned to teach astrology and human design yourself, not as someone who has read about it in a book. So I completely agree with you. On the one hand it can be used as a framework for growth. But I also often meet many people who have been through these processes and been told: You’re personality X, you’re like this, you’re like that. And they think: Yes, I recognise myself in that. And then we hear: That’s just how you are. No, you’re not just like that, because you can change absolutely everything, and no one is just like that. That’s fake news. That’s the problem with this pigeonholing, and there I completely agree with you.

But on the other hand we have a tool that, used correctly, can do something very positive for a human being. A human being who is a little open and curious comes to a good astrologer and thinks: Oh, astrology sounds exciting. With a sharp astrologer who uses it as a tool for growth, it may be perfect for that human being. It would hardly have suited them, there and then, to go straight into an extreme process of development with you or me. You need a bit of a warm-up to the topic first.

Amina: Yes.

Finding the right guide, and why the runes are something else

Pål-Esben: The challenge is always finding the right guide, the right astrologer, someone with good sense. It’s an exciting topic to reflect on, because how you engage with these tools matters a great deal for each person. And as you may have noticed by now, we haven’t talked about the runes here, because that’s a completely different kettle of fish. The runes aren’t an oracle system in the way tarot and the I Ching are. The runes describe your prism, and they’re the only way I know of describing the prism exactly as it is. We’ll have to take that up at a later date.

Amina: Yes, I’m sure a lot of people are wondering why.

Pål-Esben: Yes. With the runes it’s something completely different. Then we may need episodes of their own where we go into depth about what the runes are. But yes, are there other things around the New Earth we need to talk about, Amina?

Amina: No, I think we’ve covered the most important things, at least what’s on our hearts today. So take what resonates, and if there’s something that doesn’t resonate, then think about it a bit, or throw it in the bin and do what you like.

Our view, based on experience

Pål-Esben: Yes, it’s only our view. But it’s a view based on experience of having helped many people create a better life, and of seeing what stops people from creating a better life. So it’s more than just an opinion. It’s built on experience, not on a book you’ve read. But whether you want to take in what we say or not is up to each person, and we absolutely don’t discriminate against anyone. Everyone is free to think and believe what they want, and that’s OK. As long as they don’t bother me, I say. I choose for myself who I have around me.

Of course you can think and believe what you like, but there are certain limits to what I’m interested in engaging with. A human being who just talks crap about everything under the sun isn’t a human being I want in my life. But I accept that they have their free will to live their own life and think and feel as they wish. I just don’t want to have anything to do with it. That’s a choice too. Do you have any words of wisdom to wrap up, Amina?

Amina: No, I think I’ve said everything there is to say. Do you, Pål-Esben?

Pål-Esben: No, I think I’ve said what I wanted to say too. That was quite a step, going from the previous episode, about aliens, into this. And I’m really looking forward to what we’re going to talk about next time.

Amina: Yes.

Pål-Esben: All of this comes from the listeners, who send in questions they want us to shed light on. So if you’re wondering about something and want our view on it, send it in via Instagram or our website, wanvig.no, and we’ll put it on the list. We have lots of exciting things to discuss in the next episodes.

Amina: We do. And for those who like things simple: you can also comment on Spotify, if there’s something you’re wondering about, an experience you’ve had, or something you feel we haven’t discussed around this topic.

Pål-Esben: Because we’re happy to answer, and we do the best we can. But as we said at the start: it’s our opinion, and we don’t claim to have the ultimate blueprint for anything at all. What we do claim, based on experience, is that when you follow the philosophy we try to inspire you with, life changes for the better in a very practical way. Thank you so much for staying with us all the way, dear listener. We really appreciate your feedback, and a five-star rating on Spotify helps our podcast reach more listeners. And thank you so much for being here with me, Amina. I really appreciate it.

Amina: Likewise, Pål-Esben.

Pål-Esben: Thank you for being with us, dear listener. I hope you’ll join us again in the next episode. And until then: have a truly wonderful day, evening, night or morning, wherever you are listening from. Take care.
